Pupil Premium
The Pupil Premium Grant (PPG) is additional funding provided by the Department for Education to support disadvantaged students and help them achieve their full potential.
In secondary schools, this funding is based on the number of students in Years 7 to 11 who are eligible for free school meals, or who have been eligible at any point in the last six years, along with students who have previously been in care.
Schools may also receive Service Pupil Premium for children of armed forces families.
Each year, schools must publish a statement outlining how this funding is being used and the difference it is making to students’ progress and attainment.
