Technology at Unity consists of a mixture of Resistant Materials, Graphic Design. Food Technology and Catering and Hospitality. All students study Technology in Years 7 and 8, and this becomes a subject that students can opt to pursue in more detail from Year 9 onwards. As early as Year 9, some students choose to pursue an Engineering course rather than traditional Technology. Technology remains a popular subject in both Key Stages and the range of experiences that the department offers equip students with a wide range of skills, both practical and theoretical.
Our fantastic new facilities include two brand new workshops, a dedicated Graphics Studio, Food Technology room and state of the art Industrial Catering Kitchen to give students relevant and motivational experiences and prepare them for the world of work.
