As part of the previous government’s Building Schools for the Future programme, we are proud to be moving in to our new state of the art college building this September. This marks the end of a very long journey of planning, designing, building, packing and moving, but also marks the beginning of an even more exciting journey as Unity College begins its next chapter and moves from strength to strength.
Our core business at Unity is learning, and the new building has very much been designed to equip all our students with the best environment and facilities in order to excel. Our new building not only has superb new classrooms, but also boasts superb community facilities. At the heart of the college is a new community theatre space called The Auditorium. As well as hosting our own college productions, The Auditorium will be available for community groups and amateur and professional productions. We are proud of our contemporary catering facilities and superb sports and fitness suites.
The design of the college reflects the nature of our diverse and varied curriculum, with groups of subjects working together and an easy to navigate layout for both staff and students! As a college specialising in English and the Arts, we have a stunning suite of Art, Drama, Dance and Music facilities surrounding the main theatre.
We will be posting some virtual tours of the new building on this site soon to give you an flavour of what our new building looks and feels like. By far the best way to understand what we are about however is to experience it for yourself. We are always happy to welcome visitors to Unity College and tours can be arranged by contacting the college in advance.
We look forward to welcoming you through the doors soon!
