The Muse

At Unity College we are very proud to have a dedicated room, called The Muse, which we use for prayer and quiet reflection.  The Muse can be used by students during break and lunchtimes and before and after college.

The Muse is a place to take time to reflect and to celebrate.

We have a Muse student committee made up of student volunteers from each House and Year group.

The Student Vision

  • The Muse reflects the college vision - Unity, Passion, and Respect
  • A safe place where we can discuss our feelings and explore other people's views
  • A place for everyone - different faiths, backgrounds and culture
  • A focal point for celebration, empathy, understanding and acceptance
  • Somewhere to experience awe and wonder
  • A quiet place for reflection, remembrance, prayer and sanctuary - an oasis of calm in a challenging world

What's been going on in the Muse?

23rd March 2011

Today we went on the laptops and found out about World Purple Day - an event designed to raise awareness of Epilepsy.  You can find out more about this if you go to www.purpleday.og

We thought about people we knew who had epilepsy and considered how this could affect them
