iXL is an exciting new curriculum designed to engage and stimulate our new Y7 learners so they can connect what they’ve learnt to the real world iXL is a thematic curriculum which includes English, Drama, Dance, Music, Art & Design, ICT, History, Geography, Scientific Enquiry, RE, PSHE and Citizenship and will be delivered through a mixture of half day and double sessions that amount to 11 hours a week A thematic curriculum allows subjects to team teach together through themes rather than just focus on their own subject area without connecting it to anything else iXL will let us meet our statutory obligations whilst also letting us help our students to become real learners who not only have the key skills of literacy, numeracy, ICT and science but also have a true thirst for learning.
