Drama is studied by all students in years 7 – 9. In Year 7, Drama forms a key part of the innovative iXL curriculum. When students reach Year 9, they are able to choose extra Drama lessons through the Interest Module curriculum or even begin an accelerated GCSE Drama course (with the option of starting an AS Level in Year 11).
At Key Stage 4, the Drama department currently offers GCSE Drama, BTEC Performing Arts and the Arts Awards.
We are lucky to employ the services of two extremely talented ‘Actors in Residence’ and the work they do with our young performers is second to none. Several of our talented students have recently enjoyed individual successes with LAMDA awards and entry into the prestigious National Youth Theatre in London.
Our new facilities include two fully equipped Drama Studios and a stunning 200 seat theatre called The Auditorium. We hope to welcome you to the theatre soon.
