The Creative & Media Diploma offers students the opportunity to acquire knowledge and develop skills in the creative and media industries. The course involves the opportunity to experience the world of work and study in different environments.
The course gives young people a learning experience where the focus is on the process and they emerge equipped with the ability to apply their skills, knowledge and attitude, be it in higher education, further education, training or future employment.
There are four core themes running through the course:
- Creativity in context
- Thinking and working creatively
- Principles, processes and practice
- Creative business and enterprise
This Edexcel course consists of 85% coursework and 15% externally assessed. It is covered over a total of 2 curriculum days. The Foundation course is equivalent to 5 GCSE’s (Grades D-G), the Higher course is equivalent to 7 GCSE’s (Grades A*-C)
